The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State has inaugurated a seven-man caretaker committee to steer the affairs of the party pending further directives from the national leadership.

According to information made available to Basetvreport, the committee is chaired by Dr. Ben Nwoye, a former state chairman of the party and a well-known political figure in Enugu.

Other members of the committee include Fidelia Nje Eze, Comrade Petercash Chime, Dr. (Mrs.) Oby Ajih, Dr. Chidozie Bwafor, Engr. Emma Eke, and Rt. Hon. Eugene Odo, who will serve as the Secretary.

The committee’s mandate, sources revealed, is to reposition the party in Enugu State, reconcile aggrieved members, and prepare the ground for forthcoming congresses and political engagements.

Party stakeholders have expressed optimism that the composition of the caretaker team reflects experience, gender balance, and a renewed commitment to unity within the APC in Enugu State.

The move is also seen as part of broader efforts by the party’s national leadership to strengthen its structures across the South-East ahead of upcoming elections.
